Workshop on the Effects of Hard drugs on Youths

the Workshop was organized to enlighten youths on the consequences of substance abuse. Young people who persistently abuse substances often experience an array of problems, including academic difficulties, health-related problems (including mental health), poor peer relationships, and involvement with the juvenile justice system.

Students from two secondary schools in Plateau State have been sensitised on the dangers of drug abuse and why they should abstain from such practices.

The programme is aimed at ensuring students practice total abstinence from drugs and the need for more awareness on career choices.

The Sensitization programme was organized by Youth Volunteer Society of Nigeria YOVSON in collaboration with National Drugs Law enforcement Agency(NDLEA)
